Artists Currently on Exhibit at The Hot Nepali:
Donna Bonin
Donna Bonin, much like her Native American ancestors, has had a life long passion and deep respect for the earth. A
gardener, writer, and hiker, Donna expresses her love for nature through her photography. She also loves to photograph
people and has photographed weddings and special events. Some of the photos you will see were taken in Umbria, Italy.
The quaint little villages tucked into the sides of mountains were a joy to photograph. Some of Donna's work was featured
in "Art in the Barn" in Andover this past summer.
Kevin Burke
Kevin's interests in photography began at the age of seven when his mother satisfied his desire for a Polaroid Square
Shooter. Kevin's works combine both film and digital photography, images which are at once concrete and yet reveal
something more abstract and hopefully personal for the viewer. His photographs are frequently featured at The Hot Nepali
Restaurant and are favorites of both the customers and owners alike. A self-taught photographer, Kevin enjoys fusing the
two formats to create one-of-a-kind works. Kevin's distinctive style is poignant and will capture your attention.
Barbara Chen
Ms. Chen’s interest in photography was sparked in the early 1980s. Through the years her love of capturing nature in all its
forms on film has been her focus and it is easy to see why. Her unique perspective of fluidity and movement in each of her
works is inspiring. Ms Chen is regularly invited by the Chinese-American Fine Art Society, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and
Beijing Restaurant in Waltham to display her work.
Maureen DeSisto
Maureen DeSisto is a realistic painter and photographer and is passionate about both. The themes in her work are based
on everyday life, the New England coast and her love of music. Her mother is her traveling companion and she and her late
father are often subjects of Maureen's paintings; Carmine on the Accordion and Mom Sweeping, for example. Maureen
remains true-to-the-form, concentrating on freehand drawing skills and using the same 35mm Pentax K100 camera that she
has used since her college days. Maureen favors black and white photography because of the stark contrast, shapes,
reflections and shadows. Everything is brought down to its simplest form in black and white.
Jennifer Ferrier
A free lance photographer, Jennifer became interested in Photography at an early age. She refined her interests into an art
form after attending the New England School of Photography. Jennifer's unique specialty is underwater photography and
photo design. Her images have appeared in the Boston Globe and the Jewish Journal. You may see more of Jennifer's work
